French Community Day in the Park

Calling all Francophiles and Francophones.  Joine Alliance Francaise for a fun day in the park

  •  When:  Sunday September 14th 2008
  • Time:  3PM
  • Where:  Monroeville Community Park
  • Cost:  $5/AF Members;  $10/non-members;  Free for children under 12
  • Please Bring:  Last name A - M savory dish;  Last name N-Z sweet dish

 There will be a pentanque contest which will be taught beforehand and some surprises for all.

GBC Book Club

GBC stands for "Girls Book Club".  English is a language, too!  Little Linguists is proud to provide a book club for young girls interested in reading, discussing and playing games involving reading comprehension, characters, story setting, conflicts, solutions and just plain fun.  Snacks will be provided and the book club is free.  All girls grades 3-5 are invited.  We will be reading and discussing the Nancy Drew series throughout the year once a month.  If interested, please email LittleLinguistCenter@gmail.com. 

BBC Book Club

Little Linguists is also excited to provide a "Boys Book Club" (BBC).  We will meet once a month to discuss one of the books on our list, play games like Jeopardy, toss across and other fun games to get the book discussion going in a more active way.  If you have a son who resists reading, try out our book club.  You may find him a reader yet!  We will select books by Dan Gutman, Matt Christopher and other sports related authors.  Come back soon for dates and times.  The book club is free.

Girl Scouts

Little Linguists, Inc. is sponsoring a Girl Scout Troop!  If interested in joining, please contact us.  We will integrate a lot of different cultures and languages into our meetings as well as the standard crafts, songs, ethics and morals the Girl Scouts of America are known for.  Check out our website for more information:  www.freewebs.com/brownietroup2127 

Open House!

Our open house was such a success!  Thanks to all of our instructors and friends who helped pull it together.  Tapas from Spain, chocolate & churros and an amazing Swiss Chocolate mousse set the tone for a fun evening had by all.

Barnes & Noble Spanish Story Time

Join us for a free story time introducing children to Spanish through "Good Night Moon" and "Brown Bear Brown Bear".  We will have an activity afterwards which will help the children learn the key vocabulary in an engaging way.  This event is FREE!

Cranberry Rec Center Spanish Story Immersion
